Remember, “Don’t Panic!” The sky isn’t falling. Keep marketing. Keep doing what you do best and do it better then anyone else. Make sure everyone knows you are still in business and you are here to stay.
What else can you do? Spend more, and spend smarter! You would think that during a “recession” you should hold on to every penny you make. That’s just the opposite, you should ramp up your marketing budget. When others are cutting back, you can gain market share by being even more aggressive. Remember, “When strong winds blow, some hide behind walls, others build windmills.” Your competition will most likely be cutting back, now is the time to fill the vacuum left behind and be the one to be heard. Shout from the roof tops, “I am still here! I offer something that no one else does. Come to my shop!”
