Sony PS3 sales plummit – drop 19%

Sony’s PS3 just keeps getting battered. Sales in November dropped 19% compared to the same time last year. Why does it suck so bad? It’s over priced, Blu-Ray isn’t a compelling reason for most people to purchase it – especially for those with a less then 50″ HDTV. Games? Very compelling titles compared to XBox 360 or Wii.

Unfortunately, Sony is just losing the console war this time around. Whether it was from complacency, understimating Sony and Microsoft, or just arrogance I don’t know. One thing is true, the console market is fluid and things can always change. It’s history is littered with titans who have fallen to usurpers.
