The stars seem to be aligning for a September 2009 release of the highly anticipated Windows 7.First, we received news that the upgrade program for Windows 7 should be begin on July 1st. If this holds true to previous upgrade cycles there is normally a two week overlap between upgrade and Release To Manufacturing times.
Officially, Microsoft has said it won’t be released until 2010. That doesn’t look to be prudent, though. Sales have dropped off on Vista and with all the positive press around Windows 7 it doesn’t look that will change.
Now, all that is left is to watch the the signs and see if that holds true or not.
